Avoid Cracking Due To The Fluctuating Massachusetts Winters With Polyurea Floor Coatings
Coating your concrete with polyurea ensures that the surface of the floor will not crack or deteriorate because it’s elastic and expands when exposed to a change in temperature. This is crucial for contractors who are working on large commercial projects where an entire structure can start to break down due to choosing the wrong protective coating.
Polyurea is the coating that lasts. Studies have shown concrete’s propensity to crack when temperature changes cause it to expand and contract, paving a way for its deterioration. Polyurea expands and contracts with your flooring surface ensuring no cracks will form within the first winter of use – which can be disastrous

Due to its strength and durability these are often applied in commercial or industrial facilities that require heavy duty flooring materials due to their ability with immense temperature resistance. These sustainable products contain no volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which means they’re safe from the risks associated with indoor air pollution caused by chemicals like formaldehyde.
2. Polyurea Coatings Are Tough & Fast-Curing
This Patio & Pool Deck coating is super strong and resistant, taking only one day to install. Conveniently fast-curing in just 1-2 hours after application, this kind of surface will be ready for use in the next 24 hours! These qualities make them perfect for Patio & Pool Deck concrete as they provide outstanding protection and prevent insects from hiding in cracks or crevices. With no place to hide, these hardy creatures will be scared off by the smooth surface of your newly coated floor which can also withstand everyday wear and tear.
4. Your Patio & Pool Deck Are Safer With Polyurea
Polyurea coated floors are the safest option for any space. The coating creates a non-slip surface that is great for slippery surfaces, and it can withstand very high temperatures to provide fire retardant protection. Unlike epoxy floor coatings, polyurethane doesn’t emit harmful VOCs; they’re antibacterial and nontoxic as well!
5. Many Colors To Choose From
Patio & Pool Deck floors are usually dull and rundown, but now there is a lot more to offer for those who want something different. You can have decorative chips in your floor coating or you could opt for multiple colors that will make any Patio or Pool Deck area unique. Problems With Other Patio & Pool Deck Coating Solutions Like Epoxy
Not only do other coatings start to crack and flake after a handful of winters, but they don’t do well in sunny weather either! This should be an important drawback for any contractor developing buildings with stone flooring, or anyone working in areas that have many painted driveways. Even if epoxy coatings hold up to protect the surface of your floors from UV rays, it will still deteriorate over time when exposed to natural light. Your beautiful floors might take on a yellow tinge if there is too much sun exposure- which could happen anywhere without enough shade coverage during the summer months. However this can all change depending on whether you use Polyurea Concrete Coatings!

About Sherborn, MA
History
Primarily a farming community until the early part of the 20th century, Sherborn now is a bedroom town for Boston and the surrounding hi-tech area.
Native Americans
Little is known about the local indigenous people. There appear to have been permanent settlements, for the earliest deed of one area refers to the “old fields”; and various implements have been both plowed up and found at Rocky Narrows and near Farm Pond. However, even the name of the tribe is uncertain, for Sherborn seems to have been at the interface between the Massachusetts and the Nipmuck tribes. Several Indians kept land in town after its incorporation (e.g. Peter Ephriam on Brush Hill and Thomas Awussamoag); they appear to have been connected with the Natick “Praying Indian” community.
English settlement
The whole Charles River valley from South Natick to the falls at Medway kept its Indian name “Boggestow”; it was sought out by the English because of the abundant marsh grass growing on the wide flood plain. The earliest Sherborn land owned by the English took the form of large (200-1074 acres) grants called “farmes” made by the General Court beginning in the 1640s to individuals for payment of services rendered to the colony. These owners later sold land to settlers, the first resale being to Thomas Holbrook, and Nicholas Wood in 1652. They and successive settlers bought those wilderness lands and lived there while retaining their citizenship in the nearest incorporated town: Medfield.
Town
By 1674 Boggestow had grown sufficiently to be incorporated as a new town (i.e. the land had never been part of another town) and was arbitrarily named “Sherborne” by the General Court. The original area was of such an awkward shape that the General Court allowed an exchange of 4,000 acres (16 km2) with the Natick Indians in 1679; and it was that new land which formed most of the present town. Henry Sherburne was Associate Judge of the Court at Strawberry Bank, 1651–52; Town Clerk & Treasurer 1656; Commissioner 1658; and Deputy to the Massachusetts General Court in 1660 – this could explain the origin of the town’s name.
In the decade after King Philip’s War (1675-6) Sherborn settlers organized the local government and drew up a Social Covenant, paid the Indians for land title, attracted a saw miller, built a Meeting House and called the first minister, and granted home lots throughout most of the present town. In the second decade they formed a town militia company, hired a schoolmaster, and acquired a gristmill. Thus by 1700 they had become an “established” town.
